On Thursday, October 5th, 2023, at approximately 3:05 PM, a significant conference meeting convened, drawing the presence of various prominent news agencies, including Arise TV correspondents, representatives from Punch Newspaper, and several others.
The focal point of this gathering was the disclosure made by the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, concerning his stance on the certificate of President Bola A. Tinubu, which was presented by Chicago State University (CSU). It was declared unequivocally that this matter would be rigorously addressed and ultimately resolved through legal recourse in the Supreme Court.
It is imperative to recall that the United States Court had previously issued an order mandating Chicago State University to disclose President Tinubu’s academic records. In compliance with this directive, the university provided Atiku’s legal team with a substantial collection of documents pertaining to Tinubu’s educational history at the institution. Notably, these documents included redacted certificates issued to another individual during the same period as the President’s alleged graduation.
Reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the democratic processes within the nation, the former Vice President expressed, “I’m a democratic by conviction and citizen of country that I love.”
The Former Vice President extended his gratitude towards the legal teams both in Nigeria and the United States for their invaluable assistance in elucidating the issues that have confounded our institutions for nearly a century.
In an effort to elucidate the intricacies surrounding the certificate issued by CSU, Barrister Kalu Kalu emphatically emphasized the following critical points:
1. That Bola Ahmed Tinubu forged the certificate being presented by Inec
2. The Qualifying certificate from Southwest College to Chicago University bears a female indicating that the document does not belong to Bola Ahmed Tinubu
3. The Chicago State University Admission application Form has a claim that Bola ahmed Tinubu attended government college Lagos and graduated in 1970 when indeed the school was established in 1974
4. Furthermore, the same document has it that the owner of that certificate is a black American and the document Bola Ahmed Tinubu submitted to Inec, he denied having dual citizenship, therefore it does not belong to him
5. The same document Oral disposition says that the “A” Bola A. Tinubu is Ahmed but the NYSC certificate Bola Ahmed Tinubu submitted to the Inec has “Adekunle”
In light of these compelling new pieces of evidence, Barrister Kalu Kalu reiterated his conviction that the competent authority would render a final verdict based on these revelations. He emphasized that a Party at fault can not be allowed to enjoy the fruit of illegality.
